WHO MAKES YOUR JACKETS?
A Japanese company called ACDC Leather. The jackets are manufactured in Pakistan specifically for ACDC, shipped to Japan, and sold at the ACDC store. Our jackets are shipped from that store’s warehouse to us in Chicago.

DIDN'T ACDC LEATHER USED TO HAVE A U.S. BRANCH?
They did a few years ago. It was out of Boston, but only for a short time. The U.S. branch was around for less than a year. FB77 was carrying these jackets exclusively for two years before the U.S. branch started. Now that the U.S. branch has been closed for over three years, we’re carrying them exclusively again.

WHY ARE YOUR JACKETS SO EXPENSIVE?
We don’t think they are. If you look online, a quality leather jacket can easily cost anywhere from $500-$1000, with new Lewis Leather Jackets priced at over $1000. That price can be for just a plain old motorcycle jacket! We import these jackets from Japan, which means we have to pay for overseas shipping (expensive) and customs fees (expensive and unpredictable). We also throw in a free FB77 t-shirt to try to offset some of the cost for the buyer.

YOU'VE GOTTA BE MAKING A KILLING SELLING THESE JACKETS, HUH?
We wish. We offer these jackets as a service to you – an alternative to the thrift store leather jacket that never seems to fit right. Yes, a profit is made on the jackets. It takes profit to run a business. Most retail businesses mark up a garment about 80%-100%. After expenses, our markup is quite less.

WHY DON'T I JUST BUY A USED LEATHER JACKET FROM A THRIFT STORE?
Be our guest – it’s your constitutional right! However, the flip side is, I’ve personally spent around $100 on a used leather jacket in the past. I’ve owned about six or so of them, because I would always seem to find a jacket that fit better. Let’s call that $600 spent on leather jackets over fifteen years. Now that seems like a lot more money than the cost of one of our jackets. With an ACDC leather jacket, there’s no need to ever buy another jacket, because they really do fit great!

ARE YOUR JACKETS REALLY THAT DIFFERENT FROM THE U.S. STYLE LEATHER JACKETS YOU CAN FIND ANYWHERE?
Yes they are. These jackets conform and stretch around your body like a worn pair of Levi's 501s. They get that nice worn-in look and feel after a few months of wear. The leather is not stiff like the U.S. style leather jackets. It’s as if the designer of these jackets was in the Ramones!

HOW DO YOU SHIP JACKETS TO OTHER COUNTRIES?
Payment must be made via Western Union for jacket orders outside North America. You can either go to your local branch of WU or use their website. Email first for our WU details. There is an extra charge of $15 for shipping to Canada and $38 for shipping to outside North America. Shipping time usually takes 10-14 days via UPS for Canada or USPS Priority International Air Mail for outside North America.

IS IT TRUE I CAN SPECIAL ORDER A WHITE JACKET OR A U.S. STYLE JACKET?
Yes this is true. Currently, we just stock the U.K. style black jackets. For special orders for white U.K. jackets or for U.S. style jackets in black or white, please be aware of the following: 1. Orders can take around 2-3 weeks to receive because the jacket needs to be specifically ordered. 2. Payment must be made first before the order is sent to our distributor in Japan. 3. No returns or exchanges because we can't guarantee to be able to re-sell a special order, so know your size! If you agree to this, then let us know what size, color, and style you'd like.

LAST QUESTION. WHAT'S THE RETURN OR EXCHANGE POLICY?
We don’t take returns for money back. This is because we want you to have a jacket that fits well and that you love! Therefore, we can only take new jackets back within a week in exchange for another size. We just ask you include $15 for the return shipping on the new size.
