The Soda Pop Kids have been making quite the name for themselves out west in recent years. Formerly the loud and charismatic Kill City Thrillers from Denver who self-released the great Stiletto single, this fun-lovin’ bunch of riff raff relocated to Portland, hooked up with former Riffs front man Tony Mengis for bass duties and Stevie Kix from The Weaklings on drums, and were reborn as The Soda Pop Kids.

With an exciting style all their own, singer Jonny P. Jewels, lead guitarist Diet D, and rhythm guitarist Zach Brooks dive headfirst into every genre of rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock on their debut album Write Home. They seamlessly combine the guitar pop and style of the New York Dolls and Hanoi Rocks, the snotty punk edge and attitude of the Dead Boys and The Stooges, and the infectious R&B and rock ‘n’ roll rhythms of Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Throughout the ten-song glammed-up Write Home, The Soda Pop Kids unleash their bubblegum garage punk full force upon eager fans like one big temper tantrum.
